RAM Upgrade for dual channel mode/ Dell vostro 3668

I have a VOSTRO 3668 with 4 GB RAM 2400 Mhz DDR 4.

I want to upgrade the capacity to 8 Gb RAM - dual channel mode by adding a 4 Gb RAM stick.

What are conditions needed for dual channel mode ? Just match capacity and Bus speed is okay ?

First, you need to install memory in pairs to maintain the dual channel.  However, mixing brands of memory, even if they are the same spec's can result in the PC not working.

As there are only 2 memory slots you will have to install two 4GB memory sticks, for 8GB.  Which brand for non Dell memory??? However, Crucial is one brand that is guaranteed to work in a Dell and what we have recommended for non-Dell brand memory for years.

This is the result after scanning my vostro.

They have the same description but different part numbers. I can only buy # ct4g4dfs824a in my country.

As mixing brands/types of memory many times does not work as previously, I can't say if the memory you linked will work.

Dell said "The memory modules are customer replaceable units (CRU), and memory can be upgraded. " but I feel very annoyed when upgrade my PC. :(
