Pc doesn't boot after replacing cmos battery
I was getting the TIME-OF-DAY NOT SET-PLEASE RUN THE SYSTEM SETUP PROGRAM prompt from the past few days, so I decided to change my Cmos battery. After changing the battery, I got this prompt again, but I accidentally clicked on continue, and the computer hasn't been turning on ever since.

Did you try removing the battery, waiting 15 minutes, then reinstall the battery and try booting again? Also was the battery purchased new or one you happened to have in a drawer.

Try clear cmos settings via motherboard jumper, and like JO said make sure you replace with a new battery

@JOcean Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did try removing and reinstalling the battery, but it didn't work. I bought this battery just two days ago.

@Vinayak Srivastava Check the battery contacts and make sure the battery is not installed upside down (easy to do). You can try another new battery as I have purchased batteries in the past which measured low voltage even though they were new. Other than that it could be a MB problem.

If you have a graphics card that is after market you will need to uninstall it. Then get into buos via integrated graphics on the CPU.
from there……..
-Secure Boot Off
-Video set for automatic or video card
-Fast/Quick Boot Off
-UEFI ON, Legacy Boot ON
