When bitlocker recovery key appears keyboard and mouse are not responsive. I tried by inserting in different usb ports and with different keyboard and mouse, nothing works. Hi

The BitLocker key is a string of 48 numbers...

""

BitLocker Drive Encryption Recovery Key

To verify that this is the correct recovery key, compare the start of the following identifier with the identifier value displayed on your PC.

Identifier:   12345678-ABCD-1234-ABCD-1234567890EM

If the above identifier matches the one displayed by your PC, then use the following key to unlock your drive.

Recovery Key:

01234567-89101112-13141516-17181920-21222324-25262728

If the above identifier doesn't match the one displayed by your PC, then this isn't the right key to unlock your drive.

Try another recovery key, or refer to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=260589 for additional assistance.

Hi

Well my first thought was OSK On Screen Keyboard, and also the TAB key.

Obviously I also thought of the recent faux pas from MS where an update disables said keyboard and mouse.

I would use (as done before) Linux Mint to boot and then use the 48 numbers to access the data, make a backup and then proceed from there.

BUT I do tend to write the BitLocker key on a piece of paper, when I find it.

Would putting the old ram back in place make a difference.
