HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GU90N DELL Vostro 3250

Hello, This drive does not read CDs or DVDs. Device Manager states that this device is working properly. I tried everything. uninstalled and reinstalled the drive. Nothing helped. The unit has the letter G: /, is that correct? Please advise me, what should I do? If I need a new unit, what is the alternative?
