Graphics Card Upgrade

So, I have a Dell Vostro 3268 Desktop with 180 watt PSU . Can I upgrade from the Intel Integrated to a GT 1030 ? I know that the recommendations are for 300 watt but it only consumes 30 watt and it doesn't require any external power connector from the PSU .

Actually thanks for looking into it but the video which you suggested was for the bigger and powerful graphics cards like 1060ti that require more than 75w I'm just asking will the system in it's current form support a gt 1030 (30w) ?

180W is too small for the 30W GT1030 so no its not working.

The systems that ship with the GT1030 from dell have AT LEAST 290W power supply.

You might Inquire @DELL-Chris M to see if this model comes with larger optional power supply so that the 8CCF1 video card could be used.

Have you tried using it with GT 1030 or just telling depending on the answers on internet . I'm asking if someone has really used it and does it work     (experienced using it ) . So please don't share any thing searched directly from the internet .

8CCF1 is a Dell OEM GT1030.

If a GT1030 is fine in that model with only 180W power supply then Dell would offer a GT1030 as an option.

Using more power than your system can support can cause the system to fail.

I don't need answers from the internet to know that with only 180W total power its not likely to work for long before it dies forever.
