Graphics card for Dell Vostro 3268
Hi
I have a sff Dell Vostro 3268 i5 7400 , with 180 w PSU. I would like to know , if i can install a Geforce 710 2gb LP(19w) or a Gt 1030 2gb LP (30w). I´m not sure. I know the recomended power by nvidia is 300wt. But these 2 cards are very low power. Can you please help me with a possible solution. As anyone made this upgrade ?
Thank you.
Leal,D
You may install a Gigabyte Radeon R5 230. Enable intel Multi-Display in the BIOS and now can use both the onboard graphics card and the add-in card simultaneously. Also suggested GT 1030 may cause CPU fan failure messages and overheating issues because of 180W PSU. The PCI Express slot on the motherboard can provide up to 75w to the graphics card. There are two types of power connectors: 6-pin: this power connector can provide up to 75w. You can visit the nearest Dell store for further hardware support.
