Dell Vostro 460 - replace/install Radeon HD 5670 successful

I own a Dell Vostro 460 i7 2600@ 3.40GHz (8GB RAM with NVIDIA GT 530 Stock GPU) which has served me well since November 2011.

My stock OS is Win7 64 bit.

Recently the fan to the GT 530 gave way and I could not salvage it any further.

After doing extensive research, I was lucky to locally procure a used and cheap Sapphire HD5670 1GB GDDR5 128 Bit as GPU replacement.

Installation was easy. However, I had to remove my WLAN card as it was in the way. Not a big issue because I never use WLAN due to its instability.

There are encouraging quantities of Sapphire HD5670 found in ebay as well.
