DELL Vostro 3668, upgrade PSU for GPU

Hello guys,

i have DELL Vostro 3668, i'm about to buy GPU GTX 1650 but i know my PC has only 240watt and GPU require at least 300W PSU.

so i'm gonna order 24pin-6pin Adapter Cable over moddiy and buy new power supply about between 400w and 500w (for outside case)

which one of the following is supported by Power 24 Pin to 6 Pin Adapter Cable?
- Cooler Master · Elite P500 230V - V3
- Cooler Master · Elite P400 230V - V3
Energon EPS-550W
Aerocool LUX RGB 550W 80 Plus Bronze
AEROCOOL LUX 550W 80PLUS BRONZE
- and more and another

Notice : I couldn't find Corsair CX550 in any store in my Tunisia country, because its still out of stocks during COVID pandemic.

You could please help me?

Thank you I appreciate it!

How do you know the moddiy adapter “Suitable for Dell OptiPlex 3040, 3050, 3060, 5060, 7050, 7060” is also suitable for Vostro 3668? Just being 6 pin is not enough evidence that the adapter works. Re: psu. Try not to get a no name brand psu which can be risky. Stay with coolermaster, EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic, Antec etc., which are reputable vendors. And watch out for fake ones. If too cheap, think twice. Any standard ATX psu offers 24 pin these days.

Thank you for first reply @redxps630

well, i found that adapter from Ebay before but now it said item is not available, so i was looking for it and found on moddiy site and been purchased already few days ago, i hope i will receive it in few weeks!

I have been purchased the another adapter ADD2PSU from Ebay month ago and received the package (check picture below) as well and tested this add2psu adapter, it works fine! (both PSU running at same time)

more info about Add2PSU, check on YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erHoq3DbwVA

but i'm worried about it, i guess it's not safe for GPU! if secondary PSU turn off while main PSU is running, it might damage GPU!
