Dell Vostro 14 5401 massive fps drop while playing games
A few months ago I bought a Dell Vostro 14 5401 Laptop with the following specs:
Intel Core i7-1065G7 (10th Gen) |
NVIDIA GeForce MX330 (2 GB) |
64 bit |
1.3 GHz |
512 GB PCIe M.2 SSD |
16 GB RAM |
I bought this laptop (which cost 1000$) for the main purpose of coding and gaming.
But when playing games such as rocket league, I get a massive fps drop. (min:10fps, max:30fps)
I don't think this should happen with these specs.
And I tried everything (by everything I mean everything)
But still I can't fix this problem
So I would really appreciate if someone can help me fix this problem.
Thank you!!

This is not a gaming Laptop like the G5 or G7 series.
NVIDIA GeForce is slower than the GT1030 so its not going to be a gaming laptop. You need at least a GTX 1650 GPU or better.
MX330
Graphics Processor GP108
Cores 384
TMUs 24
ROPs 16
Memory Size 2 GB
Memory 64 bit GDDR5
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Graphics Processor TU117
Cores 896
TMUs 56
ROPs 32
Memory Size 4 GB
Memory 128 bit GDDR5

Thanks for your reply
Well, I understand that this is not a gaming laptop but I really think it should be able to handle games such as rocket league.
I have a friend who gets 60+ fps on hp pavilion with mx150 and i7-8550U in medium settings
And also a friend who has mx330 Asus and gets 90 fps with max settings.
Whereas I get max30fps in low settings.
Hence I think that the problem lies in my pc and I did a diagnostic and there is no hardware problem, so it has to be a software problem.
