Compatible PSU and Cooler Upgrade for Vostro 3710 SFF with i7-12700
Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 3710 Small Form Factor currently running with an Intel Core i5-12400 and the stock 180W power supply. I'm planning to upgrade the processor to an Intel Core i7-12700 (65W TDP).
Furthermore, I understand that the i7-12700 may demand more power during turbo/boost loads, so I would like to know:
Are there any official Dell power supply units (PSUs) above 180W that are compatible with the Vostro 3710 SFF case and motherboard?
I've seen mentions of models like AC240EBS-00 (240W) — is this a supported upgrade?Would I need to upgrade the CPU cooler as well? The i7-12700 is still rated at 65W, but I'm concerned about thermal performance in a small form factor case.
Any suggestions or official recommendations from Dell would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

there are no official psu upgrade as the official spec mentions only 180w, but the Dell oem psu for Inspiron 3910 upgrade will work for Vostro3710. these are similar model lines running Intel 12th gen cpu. search for 3910 psu https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/inspiron-3910-desktop/inspiron-3910-setup-and-specifications/power-ratings?guid=guid-75256e01-d28f-4ceb-8cf9-c6a6870a7aab&lang=en-us
SFF cooler upgrade is limited by space of small case. If you can leave side panel open then a tower cooler (premium) becomes an option.
