Boot Win 10 from ssd nvme on motherboard Pcie adapter
Dear
I need your help, I have a Dell Vostro 230S, install a Nvme ssd on an adapter card in the Pcie 16X slot of the motherboard, clone the hard drive and try to boot Win 10 with the Nvme ssd but it DOES NOT boot, The PC does not recognize the ssd and gives an error that the computer does not have a hard disk. When configuring the boot order, the ssd unit does not appear. How can I do it to boot win 10 from the nvme ssd.
Thanks and regards

Vostro 230S has old chipset supporting core 2 duo cpu.
to boot Windows from NVMe based device you need at least skylake chipset for Intel 6th gen cpu.
core 2 duo is older than 1st gen Intel cpu. hardware is too old.
you also need uefi bios that supports boot from nvme. Vostro 230S only has legacy bios. software is too old.

]PCIe SSDs and how to use them as a boot drive for a Dell
https://nvmexpress.org/
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132410
Supported Windows Operating Systems
You can use Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. (only the 64bit versions work correctly.)
Supported BIOS Types
The UEFI BIOS is currently the only one which supports these devices.
You have no uefi or GPT capability and so its not working for boot ever.
