VXNe 3100 playing up
Hi all,
I have a VXNe SAN which is playing up, this is some retired equipment that I want to get going so I can wipe the disks of any customer data however i'm having problems getting it to work...
Both SP's are in service mode and have this message:
Replace the faulted disk(s) in the DPE. The Service Code below should indicate which disks are causing the problem.
I had to reset the password so not sure if I cleared the config off of SPA by accident by holding the button down for too long.
The only symptoms I have are the SAN is in service mode, it thinks one of the four disks have failed but they're fine according to the LEDs on the front.
The obvious issue i found was that the square LED is lit on the B side of the enclosures but not the A side (if that makes sense) same story for when the DAE is connected.
Photo of the front and LEDs in case image doesn't load https://pasteboard.co/K4OACmv.png
Just tried to shutdown and restart procedure but nothing changed.
Not sure what the square LEDs mean? Any help would be appreciated.

running svc_diag --state=spinfo
showed my that one of the vault disks was faulted. replaced that disk and the error has gone away, both SPs are still in service mode though... Have rebooted SPA so will see what happens.

thanks for that, i tried those steps but didn't work. I think i have bricked it now. tracking down a console cable to see what is going on.
I did a svc_reinit which wiped out everything including the management but now it won't pick a new IP. SPs are flashing blue\orange.
After the reinit it appeared that something had cleared as it was no longer saying support coded 0 1 2 3 and just said none or something to that extent.
from what i have read, the vault disks are critical and if you have a problem it sounds like you have to reinstall the OS on to them or something like that. I just took a disk from put it in the faulted slot which cleared the error however the SPs never came out of service mode.

Hello AaronNZ,
If you have a vault disk that fails, you need to replace it & have the rebuild finish. I am guessing that the rebuild didn’t finish, which if you then did a reinit you might have it in a hung state. It is best to see what is going on with the console connection so that we can see where it is hung at.
