VNXe: Expand a storage pool
Hi,
We have VNXe 1600 array, software version: 3.1.3.5754151. Currently we installed one pool with 13 disks (1.2TB), RAID 5 (12+1).
We're going to expand the current storage pool with 5 or 9 new disks. I would like to clarify below things before expanding the pool
1. Can we add 5 or 9 disks to current pool with RAID 4+1 or 8+1
2. Any performance issue while expanding the pool with number of disk not same
3. Any idea? Had we better create a new pool with 5 or 9 disks?

You should expand the pool with 13 drives (12+1) as best practice, instead you will have performance issues.
Or you can create a new pool, with 4+1 or 8+1 drives
