vnxe and nfs + windows clients
Hi All
Has anyone been successful getting a windows 7 client with "Services for Network File System (NFS)" enable to write to a VNXe NFS shared folder. In know I have my windows nfs setup correct as it is able to write to non vnxe nfs folder from other systems and the uid/gid numbers come out correct.
Writing to the vnxe's nfs share from the windows 7 client throws a permission error.
Thanks
Marco

In another thread on this forum I found a work around to this problem.
1) create nfs export within the navisphere as normal
2) using a Linux host mount the newly created export while logged in as root on the Linux host
3) chmod 777
This opens things up but at least now allows for guid/uid mapping and allows windows clients to mount the nfs export from the vnxe.
