VNXe 3150 update fails
Hey everybody,
Our trusty VNXe 3150 can't cope with updates it seems.
I updated the Disk Firmware susccessfully. But when trying to upgrade the Software from 2.4.2.21519 to 2.4.422638, "The system upgrade did not complete successfully" at 50%. Or, according to the log: "UpdateProvider Local/admin 14:180009 Software upgrade failed".
The problem now is that "The Storage Processer did not restart successfully". SP A is unavailable for Service Mode, Reboot or Reimage ("mode is unknown"). Reinitiating the upgrade produced the same results.
Any clues where to go from here other than pulling the power cord? Anything we can do via SSH?

Already tried pressing the reset-button of SP A for 10+ seconds, to no avail.

could be an issue of not enough space available in /root or /cores
I would suggest to open a service request and let customer service troubleshoot

Don't ask me why, but in the end, re-seating SP A lead to the upgrade to finish correctly. Case closed.
