VNXe 3150 Latest Firrmware

Hi,

   

     Latest software version on VNXe1 (3100, 3150, 3300) series is MR4 SP3 - 2.4.3.21886.

If you are running pre-MR1 code (2.0) in VNXe, You need to perform two step procedure.

• Upgrade code to MR1 (2.1.0.14097) https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL34285_VNXe_Operating_Environment_(v2.1.0.14097).bin
• Then can directly upgrade to MR4SP3

        https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL55085_VNXe_Operating_Environment_(MR4_SP3_-_2.4.3.21886).gpg

If you are running any code which is greater that 2.1.0.14097, You may directly upgrade to MR4SP3.

Here is upgrade procedure for you:

1. Obtain the update from EMC Online Support:

• • Click Settings > More configuration > Update Software.
  • Click the Software tab.
  • Click Obtain Candidate Version Online. This link takes you to the EMC Online Support website where you can download an update to your local system.
  • Save the upgrade file to the computer from which you are running Unisphere.

Important: Do not change the name of the file.

     2.  Upload the update:

• • Click Settings > More configuration > Update Software.
  • Click Upload Candidate Version.
  • Locate the update file on your local machine and click Open. The update file is uploaded from the client where you are accessing Unisphere to the storage system.

     3.  Install the update:

• • Click Install Candidate Version. The Install Candidate Version button appears only if you have already uploaded an update file to VNXe.
  • Click Install. VNXe performs a health check to ensure that the update can occur.

Note: If the pre-update health check fails, you need to resolve the problem before performing the installation.
