Vnxe 3100 connectiton utilty

Hello ,

I would appreciate it if you could help me

We have a vnxe 3100 that we used in the past.

We want to use it again, but we can't access the configuration files.

I get an error saying you do not have access.

İpmi tool I tried all the commands but couldn't get it to work.

Backplane management port light bleu and orange cant take ip adress..

o try to connect 252 or 253 no luck, 

O try reset buton no luck.

Can anyone send me 3100 connectiton utilty.

I would appreciate it if you could help me and sorry for my bad English.

Still no luck because the backlight is not solid blue, flashing blue and orange..

Can I access it via t management network port Connection utilty?

I configured it like this 121.228.1.250

255.255.255.0

Hello Evrenka35,

The error light that is blinking amber and blue is it located on your SP? Are you seeing this light on both SP’s or on just a single SP? How fast are the lights blinking blue and amber?

Both are the same; it flashes blue and orange for about 3 or 5 seconds.

If you pull out SPB and boot from SPA do you get any change in the lights?

DHCP is enabled, I've tried it on two different DHCP servers and it doesn't seem to be getting an IP address.

İpmitool I tried but failed connect management ip adress 252 ör 253

It can't be that hard, I don't know what to do :( 

Hard disk  are in very good condition and I want to use them

@DELL-Sam L​ I tried it, yes the result is the same.

I tried resetting it with the reset button, the result is the same.

I think it is stuck in service mode, I tried all the commands but it didn't work

Hello Evrenka35,

Based on the lights and that you can’t connect to the ip address, I would say that the SP’s are not booting into the VNXe os. With the SP’s not booting into the os what is needed to be done is to capture the boot up of both SPA, & SPB so that we can see where the boot is getting stuck at, so we can see how best to resolve this issue. Since I am guessing that the warranty has passed on your system. We are at the point that tech support will be needed to get your SP’s to fully boot into the os, or we may need to reimage your SP’s which is also only done by support and partners.
