VNXe 1600 Hard Drives Addition
I have installed 4 more hard drives to the storage which currently has 10 hard drives.After clicking on expand, i get an "There are not enough disks of the same size and speed in this tier to support the selected RAID configuration or to satisfy the hot spare policy (or both). Click change to pick a different RAID configuration" error message. But this gives another message , saying not enough disks. I am therefore unable to proceed further. Any one with a solution?

what is the raid configuration? it should be the same size HDD and multiple of required coverage for that raid

There is raid 5 configuration. All the hard drives, both current and those being added are 600Gb and they have the same speed 10K

I guess you have 8+1R5 so you either need to add another nine drives or try to add them as two 1+1R1

Please can you help me the steps
I have configure RAID 5 with 5 HDD and remain 1 HDD as a spare so now i have add two HDD of the same size and speed its 1.2TB 10k but when i was try to expand i get this message " there are not enough disks of the same size and speed in this tier to support the selected raid configuration or to satisfy the hot spare policy (or both). click "change" to pick a different raid configuration."
Please advive

all disks in one tier have to use the same raid level
you apparently dont have enough disks for a supported RAID5
get more disks or create a new pool
