VNX5200 - Remove 10-Gb/s optical I/O module transceivers
Hello,
I have a VNX5200 with the 10Gb/s optical IO modules (10 GbE V3). I purchased cables for this module that unfortunately came with transceivers attached on both ends. I'm looking to see if the transceivers that came with the IO module can be removed, or if that is something we should even do. Any advice?
Thanks,
Eric

You need to unlatch the clasp first. This was my first foray into SFP, I can now remove the module.
Thanks!

are you talking about the SFPs ? I removed mine because we are using twinax cables.

Do you have the 10 GbE V3 module? I can't seem to remove the SFP+ Transceiver. I know you can from Cisco switches, so I figured there is probably a way. I guess I didn't want to pull too hard and I didn't see anything in the documentation.
I also have twinax cabling with built in SFP+ plugs.

There should be a small plastic strip on the top of bottom (forget which side) that you use to pull the SFP out with. I'll see if I can find a diagram/picture - I think I've seen one somewhere before.
