VNX2 on DART 8.1.21-266 Hard Quota
Hello,
The Linux clients connected to VNX2 running on DART 8.1.21-266 show the entire file system size rather than the hard quota setup on tree quota. How do i fix this?

Hi,
Was it working properly on earlier versions? Do other non linux clients show it correctly?

I have older versions 7.1.80.8 and 7.1.76-4 showing the set hard quota limit. I haven't been able to test on windows clients on with new version, 8.1.21-266 as it is Linux only at the moment

Does the limit work if you hit it still and is just showing the wrong number or is it not working?

I double checked and the limit works but it just wont show the hard limit on NFS clients. Is there any DM level parameter that i am missing?

I don’t believe so, maybe try restarting them.
Reboot the Data Mover using this command syntax:
$ server_cpu -reboot now
where: = name of the Data Mover
Example:
To reboot Data Mover 2, type:
$ server_cpu server_2 -reboot now

Is there anything else to check before the reboot to avoid all the painful scheduling to reboot

Yeah that's the kind of thing i was wondering if i am missing on VNX at a data mover server parameter level. For Isilon i understand its available at each individual directory quota level
