VNX2 Add disks from multiple block pools to a single file pool
Hello,
I have a situation where file systems on VNX2 file pool-1 are over 80% utilized and i want to add more space to file system to get usage under 60% but the block pool-1 from which the LUNs are presented to file pool-1 (file manager) is out of space already. How do i add LUN's from another block pool-2 to same file pool-1? When i add LUN's from block pool-2 to filemanager unisphere is creating a new file pool-2 automatically called 'mapped pool'. Is there a recommended workaround this?

@DELL-Sam L Thank you for looking it up. I cannot find relevant information in the documents on how to expand file systems across NAS pools

Hello yogad,
Which VNX2 system do you have and what is your current OE version?

Hello yogad,
You can’t add disk from other block pools to another block pool. LUNs that are assigned to VNX for File cannot be expanded. If additional capacity is required on VNX for File, new LUNs should be created and assigned for AVM to manage.
