VNX reserve LUN pool
Hi, could someone help me understand reserve LUN pool configuration for VNX. I am implementing incremental SAN copy and need to assign LUNs to RLP. Looking at the current configuration of the array I only see 1 pool "pool 0"
With that in mind, do I need to create another pool that will be used as RPL. Or are there specific steps that need to be followed in order to create RPL?
Could RLP creating be done in Unisphere. I see config docs about RLP configuration using Enterprise Storage, but do not know how to access it..
Thanks in advance!

Log into Unisphere and select your array, then go to Data Protection and select Reserved LUN Pool. This is where you add the LUNs you want to use as Reserved LUNs (RLP). Next go to Help and search for "Reserved LUN" - this will show you a number of topics on RLP and how to configured and use.

The RLP is not a disk pool, in the sense of your regular Storage Pool. It is a collection of LUNs reserved for a specific purpose - holding changed datablocks. SnapView, SANcopy (incremental) and MirrorView/A all use this feature.
You need to create a certain number of LUNs. How many, and what size they should be, depends on the number and size of LUNs you want to SANcopy. (1 RLP LUN for every LUN you want to SANcopy in parallel) The last time I did a SANcopy, I created 10 LUNs @ 100GB each (alternating owners between SP-A and SP-B). Then I assigned these LUNs to the RLP.
When a SAN Copy incremental session is created, it takes a LUN from the RLP to store its changed blocks since the initial copy.
Here's a whitepaper about SANcopy:
