VNX Filesystem Checkpoint schedule issue

Does anybody know if there is a limit on the number of filesystem checkpoint schedules on a VNX5300? I have a case where when trying to create a new checkpoint schedule we get an error saying the schedule ID already exists.

When listing the existing checkpoint schedules I can see all ID's from 1 to 64 (with the exception of 61)

Each time we try to create a new schedule it says the ID already exists but the number is incremented by 1

e.g. ID 6 already exists

ID 7 already exists

ID 8 already exists.....

Do we have to keep trying until we hit 61 ?

Hello paf23,

What is your current OE on your system?

Hi Sam

Thanks for the reply

I should have included the version details!

It's VNX5300 with the current target code

Flare 05.32.000.5.249

Dart 7.1.83-2

Following some lengthy testing I have disproved the theory that there is a limit of 64 checkpoint schedules (using another array)

It almost seems as if the problem array has had the counter reset somehow and it's trying to create schedules with ID's that already exist. It may be the case that if the user keeps repeating the same command he will eventually hit an unused number but I was hoping for a more elegant solution!

The user was able to resolve the issue by repeatedly trying the command until he reached an unused ID. I don't think we will be able to find out why the counter got reset
