VNX 5300 SSD max capacity
Hello all,
We are looking to expand our storage capacity with SSD drives.
Regarding this document:https://www.emc.com/collateral/software/specification-sheet/h12014-vnx5100-5300-5500-5700-7500-ss.pdf
Max size of the SSD is 200GB, but I think this is at the time document written.
So the question is: what is max size for SSD drive? We are looking for 1.4TB SSDs
Storage: VNX 5300 block, enclosure type DPE7

the copyright footer says 2009-2013
If you look at the properties on support.emc.com you can see that it was last updated February 1st 2017
VNX1 was quite a while ago - I think it only ever had SLC drives qualified and the largest there is 200GB

Thanks, already saw it, but the document I believe is still more than 3 years old.
https://support.emc.com/docu31714_VNX5100-and-VNX5300-Storage-Systems-Disk-and-OE-Matrix.pdf?language=en_US
So there is no possibilities to run more than 200GB ssd?! However the price is also 3k in USD, so we have to search for another options.

check the VNX 5300 Storage Systems Disk and OE Matrix on support.emc.com
It will list all drives that are compatible
200GB looks to be the largest available on the 5300

Thank you.
It seems that the difference between SLC and MLC explain the situation.
