Unable to Set Management IP - VNXe3200
We recently went through changing some IPs on our network. Our VNXe is no longer functioning correctly however. I was finally able to get back into it using IPMI and connecting directly to the mgmt console. When I run the necessary command for setting mgmt IP with svc_initial_config, it's only setting the friendly name. When I get into Unisphere and try to set it there, I get: "Required argument is missing from the request. (Error Code:0x7d1300b)"
Version: 3.1.17.10223906
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello DS-Support,
Are you running the full command from cli as shown in this kb?

Hi Sam,
Yes I am. Instead of the -n , I'm using -4.
svc_initial_config -a -f VNXe -4 "xx.x.x.xx 255.255.255.0 xx.x.x.x"
All I get afterwards is that it set the name and that is all.

Hello DS-Support,
Do you get the same results if you use -n instead of -4?

That is correct. I get the same results either way with -n and -4
Thanks,

Hello DS-Support,
Here is the link to a KB that you can try if you haven’t already done so.

Hello,
Yes I have already gone through this KB. Also the connection utility is no longer usuable as it required outdated and out of support java. Unless there is an alternative that you know of?

Sam,
I'm confused why this was sent? You sent me the same KB as before using IPMI and that's where the current issue lies. I am not able to use the Connection Utility since it's been deprecated and IPMI is not working correctly to apply the new IP as in my initial post.
Thank you,

Hello DS-Support,
I have sent you all the ways that you can reset that are customer available. Since they have not worked the only other methods are reserved for support, & will require a support case to be opened to resolve this issue.

That is really unfortunate. Opening a support case would be extremely expensive at the moment.
Thank you,

Hi Stockdoodle.
Unfortunately I did not. I wanted to repurpose the system and not pour more money into it. At the moment, it's on my back-burner list to tinker with. Good luck!

Hello Stockdoodle,
If you have tried all the steps listed and it is still not able to reset then you will need to open a support case, as the only other methods are reserved for support only.
