Symlink reported as regular file on VNX samba mount

One of my client is having an issue with symlinks over samba.

The same file, when browsed via windows, gets reported as .symlink file, and it provides the redirection link as well.

But after mounting over samba on a centos client, it gets reported as a regular file. Is there any setting to fix this?
