spam originating from the broadcast address of cs1

hi,

Our Exchange admins have noticed a ton of emails originating from here and all destined to root@ourFQDN.for.controlstation1.blah....

Message Source Name: DSN

Source IP: 255.255.255.255

How can I make this stop or what could be causing it. It's on a VNX5600 running 8.1.9-184

thanks

by default the VNX control station wouldnt find your Exchange Server - so someone must have configured sendmail on your control station.

Besides - without knowing whats in the blah Emails it is difficult to know what is causing them.

Yes, I get that. This VNX has been in production for a couple years, the mail configs have not changed at all. The point I think which seems weird is that broadcast source IP, and the fact that the standby CS normally doesn’t send out anything to the mailservers.
