Protection keep using space even if disabled ?
Hi there - I`ve using VNXe3150 - Perfomance Pool VMWARE.
Im out of space and I see the 50% use this is use of my vmware and 50% this is protection.
I`ve disabled the protection and deleted the schedule but still see - protection keep using 50 of the whole space in the storage.
Please advice ? Screenshot attached below:

Hi ,
This is a ISCSI lun. Hence the way Protection space configured is different than Shares.
For ISCSI lun protection space and the User data Space (actual lun size), is not two different entity.
Ex:
when user create a ISCSI lun of 100 GB. in the backend a 100 GB lun will be carve from available space. If user enables protection space (default =105%) protection space of 105GB will be added to existing lun. So here Your ISCSI lun is extended to 205 GB size.
hence Once allocated ISCSI protection space can not be reclaimed. And it works as design.
The only work around for this issue is to create another lun of same size, migrate data onto it. and delete old lun.
