If you have the Unisphere Service Manager (USM - available on support.emc.com). Use that to log into the array and go to Hardware - Hardware Replacements - there you'll find something about finding a failed drive - let USM detect the drive and follow the steps.

You can also generate a replacement procedure by going to the below linke, select VNX Series, then in the VNX Tasks select "Replace VNX Hardware" - following the wizard to select a disk replacement (replace disk based on the type of DAE the disk is in). This will produce a PDF that has the steps.
