Power Outage, no UPS, now no access to CIFs or Unisphere web GUI - VNX5300
Hello,
I inherited this vnx setup and honestly don't know much in regards to it. I'm hoping anyone can assist me. We have the VNX 5300 series set up with Unisphere Version 1.x. After the power went out, there were a few surges in between than and the power actually being fixed. Now I am unable to access anything. If I understood the setup a little more I could provide more input, but as of now I am at a complete loss. Any step in the right direction would be better than where I am now.
Thanks.

I would suggest that you power down the system completely (turn off the power to the Storage Processors, then Control Station, then the DAEs ( the disk enclosures). Then power on the DAE's first (to make sure the disks are running before you power on the Control Station and Storage Processor), the restore power to the Control Station and Storage Processors. The try logging in again. Make sure you have not fault lites.
You also might want to get the documentation on the 5300 - both the Hardware and Software docs.

I did what you suggested and there a fault lights on both processors. Control station still wont boot.
It stops at the setup line looking for a .img file.
I read somewhere that you can change boot options to do a disk check before boot with fschk (?) But not sure how to go about it. Might that be an option?

The Control station boots from the Storage Processors. If you have a fault on both Storage processors there's no way to boot. From the description, you'd probably need to contact Dell EMC support to help at this point.
