On the VNX datamover, can I remove physical devices from a virtual device?
I have a virtual device with all four cge devices attacehd.
[nasadmin@EMC01Prod ~]$ server_sysconfig server_2 -virtual
server_2 :
Virtual devices:
trk01 devices=cge-1-0 cge-1-1 cge-1-2 cge-1-3 :protocol=lacp
Can I remove two of them? Or do I need to delete everything and recreate everything?
(Need to reduce it to two and recable the other two and create new device for backup network.)

it is on layers.
Physical (Hardware) -> Virtual (Switch level) -> Interfaces (Dart level) -> CIFS | Replication (App Level)
So if you want to modify, you have to free up from App level down.

I dont think so - from what I remember you need to delete old trunk and create a new one
the VNX networking HA manual will have the details
