How to Make Sure MPIO is configured properly, is it active active, active passive

I am using VNX 5600 connected to physical Windows server 2012 R2.

Below are my concerns : -

1) what is the simple way to find out MPIO is configured properly on the server

2) How to configure host to work as active active, active passive, means how to tell physical server to perform as load balancing between the two paths or perfrom as only failover between the two paths.
