how to extend storage pools for file space on emc vnx 5500

i did create a lun and mapped it to filestorage group and i did rescan the storage system but i don't have an option to expand the existing storage pool any thoughts on how to do this ?​

3. Expand the Pool: If there are existing storage resources available that can be used to expand the pool, follow these steps:

    

   • Right-click on the pool identified in the log message or alert.
   • Select the "Expand" option.
   • Follow the wizard to select storage resources to allocate to the pool.
4. Considerations:

    

   • If no storage is available to expand the pool, add the appropriate type of physical disks to the system for expansion.
   • Ensure that the LUN you want to expand is not participating in any layered application (Snapshots, Clones, SAN Copy, MirrorView) before expanding it.

Did you add any hard drives to your VNX5500, or did you just create the lun and are trying to add the storage pool.

Yes, I have added a 20GB lun. But can't expand it.

 This issue has been resolved, in storage pools for file here the column Name corresponds to the pool on storage. As long as you create a lum in the pool that corresponds to the Name and assign it to the vnx server, the storage pools for file space will be expanded automatically. This is because auto-expansion is enabled.
