How to delete all Snapshots?
Hi,
Our system is complaining "Snapshot creation on storage resource 2018-08-09_02.00.00 failed because the maximum number of snapshots have been created for this storage resource."
I noticed that the "default protection" was used. It is way too many snapshots/overkill IMHO.
I want to delete all the snapshots and start fresh with a policy of 7 days retention.
How can I delete all the snapshots in one shot? Currently I have to delete one by one in the GUI.
P.S. I have redundancy, backups and archives so I am not worried about deleting all the snapshots and starting fresh.

You didn't mention what type of array you're using so I'll assume its a VNX. On VNX, if you have a lot of snaps (and there is a limit for each model), deleting each snap takes little time. It's the last snap for each LUN that can take longer and can impact performance. As far as I know, there is no command to delete all the snaps at once.
