Hotspare creation and high ID?
I try to create a hotspare drive for my 2TB disks.
when locking for status of the other disk.
The hot spare that excist:
Hot spare LUN 4088 and with
ID 4088,
Storagepool group 123,
User kapacity 268.229,
SP write cache OFF
When i try to create one in the GUI at hotspare choice (System/Hotspare) +Create
it gives me Storagepool ID 0, Storage Pool Name: RAID Group 0, RAID configuration: HotSpare, Number of drives 1.
Question, I try to make this hotspare "alongside" the other hotspare but for my 2TB disk, I seems not to get it with ID 4089 for eq.. any idea? or is that just for cosmetica.?

The array assigns the LUN number automatically - it's based on what has already been assigned, so 4022 is the next available number. As this is a hot spare, the LUN number is really not important.

What version of array / Flare are you using? There are differences for each model family.

When you create a Hot Spare you need to be in the Storage Pool/Raid Groups section, then select Create (at bottom of screen).
In the Create Storage Pool screen, select the Raid Type "Hot Spare", select "Manual" then click on "Select - that should list the disks available to use.
