Deleting the mirror copy does not delete the LUN on disk - your 2nd copy of the data is safe.  Deleting any part of the mirror definition does not delete data - it will just break the relationship and stop copying.

Note, you may want to time when you delete your mirror copy so your application data in the copy is consistent - best to do it when the source host is either shut down or at least the application is quiesced, and the mirror sync has copied from that time - easiest way to tell is that the latest copy has brought over 0 bytes of data.

Thanks for the replay .

I have one more question :

I have deleted the primary and secondary images from mirror . Mirror relationship name automatically removed form secondary but in the primary the Mirror relation ship are showing .

How can i remove this mirror relation ships ?

I tried to Force delete showing below message shall i proceed on this .?

Force Delete. If you press this button you will get a popup that says"

Warning: Halt I/O to the remote mirror primary LUN prior to deleting a remote mirror.

Force Delete will absolutely delete the selected remote image(s) regardless of whether:
      1. The image is active.
      2. The image has a secondary image.

This option should ONLY be used if the selected image CANNOT be deleted in the normal method!!!
Delete remote mirror
