EMC VNX 5300 Failed Disk Replacement with Unbound Disk.
H i All,
I have VNX 5300 with Multiple enclosure. Now 2 Disks failed from 2 different RAID Pools.I do not have any Hot Spare.Disks failed from Bus0 Enc0- Disk 7(600 GB) and Bus1 Enc0 Disk 9 (900 GB).
I have 2 Unbound disks in both enclosure.
Can i replace the faulty disk with available Unbound disk ?
Can i use the Bus 0 Enc0 Disk 7 and Bus1 Enc0 Disk 9 for another Pools in future .

You should be able to replace the failed disks with "unbound" disks as long as they are the same type and size (identical). You're sure that the two failed disks are in different raid groups - just double check that before you try to replace the disks.
