"Borrow" FC ports from VNX 5700 data movers

Hello all-

We are looking at a data migration where we would like to do SAN COPY from an VNX5700 to an XIO.  We would like to use FC ports on the SPs that currently connect to the data movers.  While the VNX5700 is Unified, there are currently no file services in use at all - no volumes, no VDMs, no shares.  Server_2 is primary, Server_3 is standby.

Each SP has four ports; Port 0 and Port 1 connect to the data movers; Port 2 and Port 3 connect to the production hosts.  We would strongly prefer to avoid disconnecting any of the ports connected to production hosts.

Is there any concern about this?  I know it would trigger alerts, but would this introduce any risk to production block storage?  If needed we could probably take only the ports connecting to the standby data mover, but since this is an extended migration we would like to use all FC ports (2 from each SP).

Block OE: 05.32.000.5.219

File Version: T7.1.79.8

# server_mount ALL

server_2 :

root_fs_2 on / uxfs,perm,rw

root_fs_common on /.etc_common uxfs,perm,ro

server_3 :

root_fs_3 on / uxfs,perm,rw,
root_fs_common on /.etc_common uxfs,perm,ro,

Many thanks!

The ports are normally reserved for the DataMover, but as far as I know there is no restriction in using the ports to connect to other hosts.
