Adding disks to a VNXe3200

I have a client who is needing to expand the available storage on their VNXe 3200.

The current setup (implemented by a colleague who is no longer around) utilizes 12x1.2TB drives, setup using RAID5 (4+1). 10 disks are currently assigned to this pool with 2 designated as spares.

What are my options for adding storage? The client only needs another TB or so, but from what I am reading, at a minimum, I would need to add 4 disks?

Thanks!

Does it have the 1.2TB disks in the 3.5" or 2.5" form factor?

Those actual disks are 2.5", but they come both ways. If the enclosure is 2.5", then there are 13 empty slots, and all you need are more disks.

If the enclosure is 3.5" then you need to add a DAE with disks.

That array is expandable out to ~150 disks/ 500TBs.  It is mature enough that parts are available in both the new and used channels, which should give you a wide range of price/capacity options.
