Add new pool to VNX-File
Hi
Does any one can help me? let me explain
i have a VNX7800 with file and block, it has 3 pools
pool 0 Block
pool 1 Block
pool 2 File (NL-SAS)
I created a New pool for File in order to use it for a new file Systems and Shares, but i got trouble, because a created the pool number 3, but i cant see the new pool when i create a new files system
what are the steps to see the new pool on the NAS HEAD in order to create new files systems or do you have any document with the easy way to do that?
Best Regards

Hi,
You'll need to create LUNs in that new pool and present them to the ~filestorage Storage group. This will enable the NAS to process them into a File Pool (which you can then see in your file system creation wizard).
I'd strongly recommend following the VNX2 Unified Best Practices guide section on Storage Pool LUNs for File access. Download the guide here https://support.emc.com/docu42660_VNX2-Unified-Best-Practices-for-Performance---Applied-Best-Practices-Guide.pdf?request…
It's on pages 20-21.
Cheers!

BTW a VNX 7800 model does not exist - only 7600 or 8000
