Abort background task - extend file system

Hi,

What will happend if I abort a ongoing expansion of a file system by abort the background task? Will it do a rollback on already built stripes/slices and recreate the earlier vevrsion of the file system or will it just abort the ongoing expansion and leave the file system in a inconcistant state?
