VNX 5100 not SRM 5.0 compliant?
Saw that VNX 5100 is not listed in the VMware SRM 5.0 compatibility matrix. How is this possible? It was on 4.1, AX and CX still are. It uses the Same SRA - er right? http://www.vmware.com/support/srm/srm-storage-partners.html

The entire VNX product portfolio is supported by the RecoverPoint 2.0 SRA using both iSCSI and FC. Select the Recover Point Storage Adapter 2.0 - http://www.vmware.com/support/srm/srm-storage-partners.html
The 5100 is not supported with the VNX SRA.

I know what the document says but it just doesn't make sense to me. All the VNX are on the same Block OE and SRA, what is the difference?

VNX remote replication functionality, Mirrorview is not supported on the 5100 model. The only remote replication solution is RecoverPt for the 5100 model which is supported by the RP SRA. The VNX SRA leverages the Mirrorview functionality in the more powerful VNX array models.

The difference is on the hardware processing power of different mode VNX.
You are right, OE of VNX models are all most same, but in replication environment, replication software would make SP taken additional effort on data processing. 5100,as entry of VNX, might not have full qualification in all use cases.
You could contact your EMC rep to submit your request via RPQ, Eng would give you justification based on your environment.
