Replication Manager proxy & NFS errors "exceeded the time limit"
Here's a solution to the issue “Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the create snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen VM” when trying to snap a datastore on NFS with RM.

Hi,
I just checked the installation. VMWare Tools where installed, including the VSS Provider. VSS itself was in a corrupted state. Uninstall VMWare tools, cleaning up VSS as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940184 and reinstalling VMWare Tools did fix the issue.

Check the VMware tools installation inside the virtual machine and make sure the VMware tools is running inside the VM
Thanks

Hi,
I’m using RM 5.2.3 proxy to vSphere on a Celerra NFS share with a running VM (vm-nas-rmdemo) , and I do get the following error:
“Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the create snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen VM”
Any adivse how to fix that? Any ESX parameters that must be set to exceed the frozen IO time window?
