Problem Unisphere after changing of ESXi IPs

Hi NG,

We are using VMware vSphere 5.x with vCenter , FC-Fabric (Brocade FC switches) and an EMC Clariion CX4 and VNX-5300.

This configuration has been working fine, till we had to change the IP addresses of our ESXi servers (other subnet, changed names).

We have had a look at Unisphere and realized that in the "Hosts" section ESXi Hosts were diplayed with there obsolete IP or the IP of the vmotion vmkernel interface.

Furthermore it was not possible to change these IPs ...

TCP/IP connection between vCenter, ESXi servers and SAN SPs is working fine.

When using the "Virtualization Tab" in Unisphere,by adding a vCenter, either some ESXi hosts are missing or were presented with their vMotion IP.

This even happenend after we deleted the vMotion vmkernel interface from a certain ESXi and tried "Virtualization" in Unisphere again, after we deleted the vCenter server entry. Still wrong IPs

Could somebody help us out?

Regards...

Hi,

I have changed the management interface IP, so the are both on vmk0. After that we removed the vCenter from Unisphere and added it again.

That didn't work out either; the 2 ESXi hosts are still displayed with their vMotion IPs.
