Mpath Policies
Hello,
If I have a environment with Vmware ESX and two HBAs with a the policy RoundRobin, what happens when an HBA fail ?
Round policy starts to work like Fixed because only has one path ?
No Events found!

If you only have 2 paths total, configured on the host (1 path from each HBA) then yes, NMP will drive all IO on a single path.
If you have 4 paths total, configured on the host (2 paths from each HBA) then NMP will continue to route the IO on the remaining two paths to storage in RR fashion.

As it appears from you post, both the HBA's used are single port cards. So yes, if you only have 2 paths total, configured on the host (1 path from each HBA) then yes, NMP will drive all IO on a single path. Effectively your environment will run single path but the policy does not change and comes back into effective action as soon as the other HBA errors are corrected( replacement or any other recovery)
