EMC EVO RAIL
Is there any further detail on when the EMC EVO RAIL will start to be available and what EMC will bundle with the appliance? I see out of the 8 original vendors a handful quoting and looking to ship the first units in Q1.

When VMware launched the product at VMworld there was a great deal of interest. The underlying hardware is the same across all platforms, it is what each of the vendors offer on top that is where they will differentiate themselves. If EMC bundle in RecoverPoint and Avamar for example then it would be a very interesting conversation.
Dell has already announced that they will offer NexentaStor and NexentaConnect which will add unified file and block.

I'm very interested in the EVO:RAIL platform also, and in particular what EMC can bring to it.
I can already see particular use cases in upcoming projects.

Agree Mark, it has a lot of potential.
Although I think at this point the conversation around $$ is going to be paramount
Integration with the other solutions in the portfolio are intriguing, as is the announcement I read today about ScaleIO soon to be released with direct kernel integration in esxi. See Chuck Holiss' blog from December 3.
Exciting things on the horizon.
