DMX-4, ESX - hardware acceleration?
I think DMX-4 does not support storage based hardware acceleration like VNX and VMAX does?
Would there be any issues if I provisoned DMX LUNs and VNX LUNs to a same ESX cluster? Is there any recommendation as to dedicate DMX LUNs to a ESX cluster?

Correct- DMX4 does not support VAAI.
However, theres no problem exposing DNX and VNX to the same host as long as you follow best practices (single target zoning, etc).
