Automate VSI Tasks

Hey All,

In part of a big migration process we are taking', I need to collect some information on all VMware-related storage. I find the easiest way to achieve this task is by exporting the VSI LUNs table to a CSV file.

VSI works just fine and gives me all info I need. The only thing I would like to have and unfortunately I don't is export all VC-related storage info to CSV file.

Since our VC is built upon lots of ESX-Clusters, I have to export tens of different CSV files and then I have to concatenate all these files.

Is there a way to automate this process to work just by a single mouse click? Maybe there is a VSI-API thing or something?

Thanks a lot,

Matan

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to accomplish this with VSI.  However, obtaining an 'export' of the entire vCenter and all of its storage details is something that exists in the backlog of VSI new features, so your request will be associated with that feature to raise its importance.  Thank you.
