SRDF/Metro with SRDF/A

I have SRDF/Metro setup (VMAX_A(R1) - VMAX_B(R2)).  For the R1 VMAX, we have SRDF/A copy to VMAX_C(R22).  My question is let say I want to restore the data by using the SRDF/A copy, what should be the correct procedure to avoid a full resync.

I will think we will need to suspend VMAX_A(R1) - VMAX_B(R2) SRDF/Metro first but do we need to delete the metro relationship before we can restore using the VMAX_C data.
