RAID 5 versus RAID6 on All Flash Array
We know, generally, RAID5 offers better performance on writes, and RAID6 offers better protection.
However, on All Flash Arrays (VMAX3), is performance still much a factor between these two? As far as mean times between failures for flash drives, does the slightly better RAID6 protection matter at all over RAID5? (Is it merely perception, or actually better?) Thanks in advance for any feedback.
